The American Society of Civil Engineers chapter at Cornell is a student group who invites members from among Civil Engineering majors to participate in community service events, engineering competitions and other activities. The group participates in the annual concrete canoe and steel bridge competitions, taking teams who work on each project to regional and national competitions around the country. For more information on the Concrete Canoe Team, please see this page and for more info on the Steel Bridge Team, go here. ASCE also invites guests to come speak to the student membership throughout the year on ethics, professional licensing and other activities that relate to becoming a professional civil engineer. Other social and networking events are scheduled throughout the year as well.
