April 6, 2007: Is PowerPoint required for the Technical Paper Presentation? Absolutely not. Room 306 in Hollister Hall will be equipped with PowerPoint capabilities, but PowerPoint is not required for this event. The idea of the presentation is to summarize and illuminate the main points and arguments of your paper in a different light for the judges. Whether that entails a PowerPoint presentation or not is up to the presenter. Please review scoring guidelines for the presentation portion of the competition and interpret for yourselves how to determine the highest score possible. Reading the paper verbatim to the will most likely constitute in a very low score on this event.
