In 1975, Mr. Dusenberry joined the engineering mechanics division of Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, Inc. (SGH) in Waltham, Mass., where he currently serves as Senior Principal. Mr. Dusenberry has conducted numerous investigations, analyses, designs and peer reviews of buildings, building components and infrastructures. He has consulted on the development of GSA guidelines for prevention of progressive collapse and for the National Institute of Building Sciences on the development of a state-of-the-practice guideline for prevention of progressive collapse.
Mr. Dusenberry received his bachelor's and master's in civil engineering from Cornell University in 1973 and 1974 respectively. He is an active participant in many industry organizations, including ASCE and the American Concrete Institute. He has also written extensively on such topics as blast and fire damage, and structural performance. Mr. Dusenberry is a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Structural Engineering Institute.
