My name is Yang Liu. I grew up in the northeast of China. I spent six and a half years to achieve both my bachelors degree in MIS and masters degree in management science and engineering at Tianjin University.
Most of my research conducted at Tianjin was related to the field of transportation, and I found a lot of interest in solving real problems in this field. Therefore, I decided to come to Cornell to pursue a Ph.D degree.
My concentration is Transportation System Engineering, and I am now working with Prof. Samaranayake. My current research interests are optimization problems in public transportation.
