Research interests of our group involves in a wide range of topics in fluid mechanics and hydrodynamics, including:
- free surface tracking,
- wave-structure interaction,
- wave-seafloor interaction,
- sediment transport,
- wave breaking, and
- internal waves.
In the past decades, several numerical models have been developed or significantly improved by our group, e.g., HyPAM, COMCOT, Cobras, and Coulwave.
These models have been validated and successfully used inside/outside our group to study fluid/wave problems in many aspects, ranging from small scale turbulence to large-scale tsunamis.
