M.S./Ph.D. Program

In the M.S. and Ph.D. programs, each student plans an individualized course of study with the assistance of a special committee made up of faculty members representing major and minor areas of study. The PhD requires a minimum of 6, and the MS requires a minimum of 2 registration units. Both degrees require a thesis and a final oral examination; the Ph.D. also involves qualifying and comprehensive examinations. The eight concentrations of study are:
