My research is focused on understanding network operations in transportation and other infrastructure systems, and on making effective investments in those networks under uncertainty. Specific applications within this general topic have included hazardous materials routing and scheduling, distribution system design for manufacturers, and logistics issues associated with dismantling nuclear weapons.
Current work is concentrated on infrastructure interdependencies and security. My interests in investment planning and uncertainty have also fostered work in the general area of project planning under uncertainty.
