Environment

The Environment Area addresses the interactions between the built and natural environments.  The discipline encompasses the intellectual core areas of chemistry, biology, fluid mechanics, hydrology, and environmental systems.  The educational and research objective of the Environment Area is to produce Environmental Engineers and Researchers who can use their understanding of contaminant reactions and transport to design processes that help preserve the natural environment and protect human health.
