I'm from Beijing, China. I received a B.S. from Swarthmore College (PA) in May 2015. My engineering senior design involved constructing an electrodynamic bench-scale shake table to study seismic movements, which aligned well with Professor McLaskey's research interest. Arriving at Cornell in August 2015 as a MS/PhD candidate, my first research project was developing a beamforming (back-projection) algorithm for source detection. Currently, I am working on calibrating ultrasonic piezoelectric sensors. In my down time, I like to play basketball, enjoy Ithaca's gorges in close proximity, and watch shows/movies.
