Highlight from your time at Cornell:
Vanessa on drawbridgeBesides meeting so many incredible people and making great friends, my highlight was being able to spend a year in Spain. Studying abroad was always at the top of my bucket list and I am so grateful I had the opportunity to go to Santander. It was definitely one of best years of my life!

Favorite Professor and/or class:
Professor Hover and all of his concrete classes!

What inspires you?
My parents have always and will been my inspiration for everything I do. I would not be graduating from Cornell without their love, support, and the sacrifices they have made.

What are your plans after graduation?
I will be interning at Clark Construction for the summer and then coming back to Cornell for a semester to complete my MEng in Engineering Management.

friends on the slopeSomething you will miss:
Everything: the amazing professors, the campus, the beautiful sunsets, hanging out in Bovay and the Hollister lounge when we should have been working, but most of all, the friends I made at Cornell.

Advice for incoming students:
Always try something new and take risks. Never in a million years would I have thought I would love construction and researching concrete. All it takes is one yes to change your life.

Trust yourself and your capabilities! You deserve to be here no matter what people (including yourself) might think!
